When thinking of college students, most people have very similar thoughts. People have stereotyped college students to be more involved in social activities and less involved in their studies. When most people thinks of college students they think of crazy parties, laying in bed watching netflix all day, going to coffee shops for study groups, hanging out with all of their friends, and trying to find the love of their life. I think that these stereotypes are incredibly hilarious. I don’t have time for half of these events. I would say my college experience is definitely less enjoyable than the stereotypical college students. Rather than doing the normal college activities as I stated above, I spend most of my time in the library studying for tests. When I am not in the library studying, you can find me at work trying to make enough money to pay for college. Even though it might be surprising, most college students do spend time in the library rather than out drinking. I know it’s a crazy thought, but they also have jobs! I chose each picture based on what our parents, friends, society, and bosses think college is like for us. My final two pictures shows what college is actually like for me. I feel like I’m always studying and I’m always trying to balance life like a juggler. Through this assignment I learned how college student stereotypes are not accurate what so ever.
